Darkstars believe mortals are insects to be manipulated and/or wiped from the universe. and those ascended from darkness. The Darkstars utilize mortals as numbers to be thrown into an ongoing campaign to rule the universe. The best way to replenish these numbers is by conquering worlds and filling in the ranks. Those who prove to be above average have the privilege to ascension. This basically means that a mortal who shows potential may receive the opportunity to be immortalized by the Darkstars. The downfall is that they are binded to darkness and become former shells of themselves. It’s an extremely unpleasant process and servitude is eternal unless you no longer serve a purpose.
