Fight or submit

War is a way of life throughout the Alpha Universe. Those who have only known peace since the beginning of time will eventually find war. Those who have only known war eventually find death.  There is no true peace in the Alpha Universe. There are really only two choices when faced against a universal threat…fight against that threat with the Daystars as your protectors or submit to servitude or worse, annihilation.

Peace is a lie

The Kitalli race of the Quanta system had enjoyed peace for millions of CYThe abbreviated version of Cosmic Years.

Cosmic Years - In order to have continuity throughout the Alpha Universe, one planet was used as the staple for the Cosmic Time line. This planet (named Urth) was believed to be at the center of the universe. It has an annular solar rotation of 365 days.’s within their isolated solar system of thirty-seven inhabited planets. A species which numbered in the hundreds of billions, the Kitalli consisted mostly of technological scholars who ventured out into the stars to find a greater meaning in life. Peaceful by nature, they had only experienced conflicts by way of academic debates. The Kitalli’s only true hunger was for greater knowledge and a deeper sense of wisdom. The Kitalli had never encountered another species before, yet they did conclude that other life did exist in the dark sea of space. Their spaceflight technology could only take them to the ends of their solar system but they were determined to spread their peaceful ways beyond their borders. The day did come where the Kitalli confirmed they weren’t alone in the universe.

The Darkstars had made first contact with the Kitalli with an unfathomed show of force. Obliterating thirty-six of the thirty-seven planets into space rubble and invading the home world last, the Darkstars cataloged the species and left the Kitalli home world absolutely ravaged and uninhabitable, never even exchanging one word with the lessersA termed used by the Darkstars to describe mortals. Those beneath Darkstars only serve to greater Darkstar knowledge or to be used as puppets in the Darkstar empire. Darkstars believe mortals are insects to be manipulated and/or wiped from the universe.. An extinct race now, not one Kitalli survived the Darkstar invasion which lasted less than 2 hours.
